2022 Scholarship Winners Announced

Alma Lodge #523, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, is proud to announce the winners of its 2022 scholarships. This year the Lodge provided a total of $2500 in scholarships to three Cambria County students.

Jacob Campbell scholarships of $1000 each were awarded to Alexandra Thompson of Glendale High School and Bridgette Flanagan of Central Cambria High School. An Alma Lodge I.O.O.F. Educational Scholarship of $500 was also awarded to Madelyn Oliver, a graduate of Richland High School and a student at the University of Pittsburgh.

The winners were honored at a ceremony held here at Alma Hall on Friday June 10th. A dinner was held before the meeting where members could meet the students and their families, while the students had the chance to learn more about the Lodge and its history.

Since 2019, Alma Lodge #523 has awarded over $9,000 in scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education. This year marked the fourth year for the Jacob Campbell Scholarships, which are awarded to a pair of Cambria County high school seniors. This year also marked the first year for the Alma Lodge I.O.O.F. Educational Scholarships, which are awarded to current Lodge members and their families.
